Andy is the retired former president of MoveUP, which represents workers from over 90 workplaces in both the public and private sectors. He has sat and participated on numerous boards and committees at the local, national and international level. As well as an extensive working career in public transportation, he also participated in and advised a variety of transportation fields. This included chairing the BC Federation of Labour’s Transportation Committee, labour advisory to the provincial Government for the formation of Translink, member of WESTAC, (Western Transportation Advisory Council), advisory member to the City of Vancouver’s public transit committee and a number of other public and private transportation initiatives. Since retiring in 2011, Mr. Ross has remained active as a consultant teaching parliamentary procedures, advising on constitutional and by-law structure, and facilitating strategic leadership workshops for union and non-profit organizations. He currently serves as a director on the board for TransLink.
