Bill Dingwall has a diverse professional and academic background. Proudly serving 35 years in the RCMP and retiring as Chief Superintendent. Bill has been active in his community, serving as a volunteer, coach and referee, culminating in his election to Pitt Meadows City Council for 8 years (including four as the mayor). Bill has had the opportunity to serve on a wide variety boards and associations, including as Chair of the YPK Pitt Meadows Airport Board, as President of the BC Association of Chiefs of Police and co-chair of the BC Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Bill most recently served as a director on Metro Vancouver’s Board of Directors, as well as Translink’s Mayors’ Council, serving as Vice-Chair of the Finance and Governance Committee. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree from Simon Fraser University, a law degree from the University of Ottawa and is a certified professional in human resources.
